Guiding or tuition rates by email request - help me plan your trip
Trip Includes: transportation, fishing equipment/flies, photos of your day, refreshments and lunch, casting tuition comes part of the package.
Multi day packages available on request, accommodation can be arranged depending on venues we fish. My aim is to put you into fish to suit your angling experience.

Deposit
A 50% deposit is requested in advance to secure your booking via Paypal or internet banking. Balance to be paid on the day of trip. (Paypal transfer fee is additional) See cancellation policy below:
All trips can be arranged to suit your angling ability! First time anglers beginning from scratch are welcome!
Safety Is Priority!
Rob holds a current NZ Red Cross First Aid and Physiological First Aid Certificate, at any time prior to booking Rob is happy to advise on a suitable angling environment to suit your ability.
Rob carries a PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) and a full first aid kit.

Your Health and Safety is my priority, I am fully vaccinated carry hand sanitizer with me and I am happy to advise of any concerns you may have entering NZ to the best of my ability.

What to bring

Warm clothing i.e. polypropolene top, leggings

Favourite fly rod and reels, (Alternative gear provided no extra cost)
Gortex waders along with rubber-soled wading boots (felt-soled boots are not permitted in NZ)
The Fishing Season
as many anglers. Early season fish are less picky.
Summer: January, February and Marchcan be excellent dry fly fishing. This can be most stable for time for weather and river levels.
Winter: options available subject to weather, some fantastic spring creek fishing is still an option

Cancellation
Cancellation within 7 days will incur a charge of 100% of the full fee (less deposit already paid)
Weather cancellations
Very occasionally we cannot fish. You should come prepared for rain or sunshine. Should our guide need to cancel the day due to weather or river conditions for safety reasons a full refund less any transaction fees will be given. Updated NZ Weather can be seen https://www.metservice.com/
