Booking Information:
Deposit
A 50% deposit is requested in advance to secure your booking via Wise App or internet banking. Balance to be paid on the day of trip. (Paypal or Wise transfer fees are additional) See cancellation policy below:

Cancellation Policy
Cancellation within 30 days will incur loss of deposit.
Cancellation within 7 days will incur a charge of 100% of the full fee (less deposit already paid)
Deposit paid must be used within 12 months or loss of deposit
Insurance
It is advised that clients have current medical and travel insurance including trip cancellation insurance.
Safety Is Priority!
Rob holds a current NZ Red Cross First Aid and Physiological First Aid Certificate, at any time prior to booking Rob is happy to advise on a suitable angling environment to suit your ability.
Rob carries a PLB (Personal Locator Beacon) and a full first aid kit.
*Licences (to be purchased separately online)
There are two fishing regions, Lake Taupo and its tributaries are managed by the Department of Conservation while the rest of New Zealand’s fly fishing is managed through licenses from Fish and Game.. Specific license required dependent on region fished at the time.

What to bring
Fishing licence (see licences*)
Warm clothing i.e. polypropolene top, leggings
Rain jacket

Favourite fly rod and reels, (Alternative gear provided no extra cost)
Gortex waders along with rubber-soled wading boots (felt-soled boots are not permitted in NZ)
The Fishing Season
as many anglers. Early season fish are less picky.
Summer: January, February and Marchcan be excellent dry fly fishing. This can be most stable for time for weather and river levels.
Winter: options available subject to weather, some fantastic spring creek fishing is still an option
Weather cancellations
Very occasionally we cannot fish. You should come prepared for rain or sunshine. Should our guide need to cancel the day due to weather or river conditions for safety reasons a full refund less any transaction fees will be given. Updated NZ Weather can be seen https://www.metservice.com/

Where 4x4 transport is provided by a third party, the guide does not own, operate, or control the vehicle and is not responsible for the vehicle, driver, or transport arrangements. Responsibility for the vehicle, driver, and transport remains with the transport provider and/or driver. This does not remove any duties or responsibilities the guide may have under applicable health and safety laws..
